Urine Pregnancy Test

I just went to the OB / GYN today to get a pregnancy test because my period has been ignored twice, but all tests were negative my house. The nurse told me that a urine test and a blood test are not different from the sensitivity of detection when hCG. I took a blood test anyway because I heard that those that are more accurate. What are the facts?

Blood tests can pick up hCG levels in a week of being pregnant. Urine tests may not always look for hCG until you have at least two weeks of pregnancy (which is around when you notice that you missed period).

If a blood test gives you high levels of HCG determine that you are pregnant, but a urine test always says no, you're still pregnant. Blood is always stronger than the urine.

and there is a difference in sensitivity. I do not know why she told me there is not. Even medical assistants know that the blood pregnancy test is always more sensitive than a urine test.

You still have hCG in the blood, but when you are pregnant rapidly growing and go Sky High, a blood test can tell by reading the exact amount in the blood when the blood was collected.

A urine test requires a minimum of hCG to read positive. Some women, like me, do not produce enough of the hormone in the urine until later in pregnancy and a blood test is the only way to tell with certainty.

My first child was like that, neg tests for three months only to find out by blood test at 3.5 months! And I told the doc ... "I'll told you so!"

I can not believe a nurse tell you there is no difference!
The blood test is proof of error, the urine test are not always. There may be a negative urine sample when you are really pregnant, not the case with a blood test.
