I have COPD and are planning to stop the Symbicort if the weight i cannot control

Yeah I think so. If you eat well and get enough exercise.

Symbicort inhaler can increase your weight, but very small effects. so just keep practicing healthy diet and excercise 9but just do simple exercises that you suffer from COPD).
you should not stop taking Symbicort. it is a long-term prevention of any attack.

The steroids contained in Symbicort is inhaled and absorbed into the lungs. It has no systemic effects, so do not worry about weight gain because of it.
And please do not stop taking any medication prescribed by your doctor without checking with him first. You can be risking your requirement of having an exacerbation. I'm on oral steroids and three, not four inhalers. albuterol nebulizer and heart medicine. I do not want to stop taking anything because it might disrupt the balance. You can lose weight but you might not survive an exacerbation.
