Symbicort Asthma

I take Pulmicort for a couple of years and my doctor has recently decided that I should be on Symbicort because my asthma is not well controlled. I started taking a couple of days and I realize that I seem to be using my rescue inhaler more. I suppose it could be a coincindence but I was wondering if Symbicort could actually cause more problems with my asthma. I call my doctor but I was wondering if anyone here might have heard of these issues. Thank you!

Make sure you are not panic attacks of confusion with asthma. They do look alike. Symbicort can cause panic attacks. I have not known to aggravate asthma Symbicort .... not to say that is can not happen. Symbicort is supposed to prevent asthma attacks ... not worse. Let your doc know what's going on because you could be one of those rare people who really have a bad reaction to it.

Yes it can cause an asthma attack if you read the warnings that come with the list of reactions. consult your doctor and tell them your symptoms. im taking too much Symbicort and the first day it made my asthma worse, but it has improved:)
