Stroke Surgery

Stroke SurgeryIf someone had quadrupal bypass surgery and stroke, can they return to work?

Then my mother asked, after quadrupal CABG, and a race if it was OK to return to work. She is worried about our situation monitary, and now plans to return to work.

I would appreciate your answers or advice you can give us.

Thank you very much.

It depends if it is ambulatory (ie able to use the arms and legs to move and do things) and if his speech and / or hearing was not affected. If she is able to move and speak, it should be OK to return to work unless the work is physically demanding.

It really depends on a number of factors, such as permanent damage done by the stroke, the type of work they do, the number of hours she plans to work, and the strength of his heart!
There's really only one person who can definitively answer this question, and it was his doctor. It absolutely must see it before thinking about returning to work!

Depend on what type of work she does.

I recommend light work / work stress low ..
Make sure it is monitored regularly with his cardiologist and keep other medical problems such as blood pressure under controlled conditions (goal is <130/80).

Jack, MD

I had six bypasses and went to work in ten days, it's like having acold now days.
