Stroke Resources

Stroke ResourcesWhat resources are available for a 31 year old woman who had a stroke? It is definitely off to work.?

She has three children under 13 years. What assistance is available for her and that government resources?

She needs to contact the Social Security office and get to work on disability. It is a long process, so the sooner she gets movement on it, the better.

She may also want to consider using temporary housing and foodstamps until she gets things including

I would like to contact the Social Security Administration. She is probably able to collect SSD (Social Security disability). Since she is disabled, she will need all his medical records and assisting the filing of paperwork. It could also hire a lawyer. I filed mine myself and was accepted.

Since it also has minor children, they would also receive benefits until they are 18.

There are also programs out there to help with food, WIC, etc. I would see the help government program in your area. It takes a little time to approve, but once she is, she and her children will receive a check each month. Not only that, the pay is retroactive to the date of his disability.

Good luck!

SSI or SSD and aid office of the county might be able to help too. but if it is disabled, I would certainly try admintration social security and if they fight you keep fighting / she will get it and the day she filed it back to that date and its processing into a single check
