Seborrheic Dermatitis Treatment

Seborrheic Dermatitis TreatmentDoes anyone know of an effective treatment of seborrheic dermatitis on the face?

Since I had mono a year ago, I had seborrheic dermatitis (SD) on my face and scalp. Is a decline in immune system diseases such as mono never trigger this? The dermatologist who diagnosed it put me on a steroid cream for my face but it made my condition worse. Are there any other facial treatments for this condition besides steroid creams? I had clear skin before the DS hit. Now I dry red ITCY spots on my face and scalp especially in the winter months.

I hate to say this, but so far there is no cure for seborrheic dermatitis. It can appear and disappear randomly. I'm dealing with this nuisance for the past four years. I'm taking a pill (sorry can not remember the name of the drug, but you will know) and a cream (again, do not remember ..) that is not based cortisone. (I'll probably need another pill for memory). Do not use creams like cortisone or steroids may be effective at first, but gradually wear your skin leaving it thinner and thinner, in some cases causing inconspicuous capillary vanes. I try to eat as healthy as possible, many vegetables and fruits, not much bread (yeast) as I did, from time to time does saunas, exercise and try to keep my skin as clean as possible . I guess the only thing we can do is continue to address how best we can hope that one day he will go. Let's be optimistic .. it will go far!
