Restless Legs Treatment Whats the treatment for restless legs syndrome? I have a minor case of restless legs syndrome, and it often makes me uncomfortable and unable to sleep. I sometimes have an uneasy feeling, like a desire to move, and I'm constantly moving my legs or move my toes to make it better. Well .... In my experience, taking the medication actually worse way for me. I tried Benadryl, nyquil, and even a drug prescribed to sleep. medicine made me soooo sleepy and out of it, but he has been restless legs worse. that was terrible, because I was so sleepy. drugs and restless legs made me soooooo uncomfortable I almost had my husband take me to the hospital. the only thing that ended up working was to walk Walk Walk it Off! tires on the muscles! the reason I started getting RLS was after I left my job as a waitress (probably because I wasn't stretching the legs 8:00, as I used to!) There are few drug options: Some people find relief with Benadryl before bedtime. Others need prescription drugs such as Mirapex, primidone, or Klonopin. Your doctor can prescribe. you need to run and stop your high fructose syrup as much as possible. I suffer from severe RLS and take prescription med called nurotin, with that I walked the floor all night. RLS is hereditary, so look for most women in your family, there ra few who have it, but not to the extent that women, my eldest son is an exception and it has too much to take prescription drugs for this. There is an online chat entitled "Midnite Walkers" all these people suffer in this way give it a try. What works for one does not always work for another to check the chat room and www.webmd . com also GOTO and research on restless legs syndrome... good luck Posted on February 15, 2010.
