Are they effective?

Some are really good ... but without speaking are the best ... my fav cd for relaxation and meditation is back to basics ... Chakra Journey you can probably find it on ebay.

I do guided meditations sometimes before bed and you'd be surprised how they make you feel relaxed, but also make you sleep so well! they can seem a bit corny, but you just ignore it and just take it seriously.

I work and others do not. If he talks about them I find that the accents can be very annoying. If this is the "bad" Accent can have the opposite effect on me.

Yes, I have a couple times, but they were so relaxed that I went to sleep for them and not really able to perform all muscle relaxation exercises, they preached! :-)
