Prostate Cancer Survival Rates

Prostate Cancer Survival RatesProstate cancer survival rates?

I recently learned that my uncle has cancer of the prostate with a Gleason score of 8. It has been tested to see if the cancer had spread to her bones and from now on, in his lymph nodes. He is 60 and Cuba, which would make him black, so I do not know if this will give a lower survival rate compared to a white man. I just want to know what the survival rate and chances of recovery.

A place to check is the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center site. Cancer of the prostate in the treatment of cancer information by Select and click OK. On the right side of the page prostate cancer, you will see the prostate cancer prediction tool. Click more. It will take you to a page that provides information on the tool. Then click open the calculator. You choose where in the process of treatment / diagnosis of your uncle. This will take you to an appropriate calculator. You will be invited to respond to your uncle's age, PSA, Gleason score, and so in the end it will tell you the five and the probability of survival at 10 years for each treatment method.
The site also has articles.
