Poison Oak Rash Pictures

We just returned from a camping trip and just noticed that my son 18 months has a rash or something on his neck ... It does not seem to be itching or anything it .. So just wondering what are the signs of oak or poison ivy rash is?

Heres some pictures of my son's neck ... Not great, but can give you some ideas ..
IM courses to take her to doctor for check tomorrow.

The oil causes the rash is the same for both plants. It is called urushiol.

All I can say is - if he is not unhappy, it is not poison ivy or poison ivy. The place is really small, but still .... even small patches of poison ivy are miserable. Poison ivy and poison oak creates a random search spotted rash with small bumps and big bumps. I have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours outdoors, camping, fishing, and walking in the woods. I can also tell you this, there are about a billion different things that causes a mild rash, especially if he is allergic. I reached a point where if I lay in the grass and it touches my skin for a while, I get hives. It's just grass, but it is not uncommon. Another possibility you did not mention was that it was caused by a bug of some kind. Ticks and chiggers and fire ants are not the only creature that can cause blisters, marks, and itchy or red spots.

I would put some aloe vera gel on Benadryl and forget if it was my own skin, but your son is your son, and you're a mom, I understand why you want it to look.

Not sure, the pictures are OK, but so many things make a rash. It definitely itching to most people and burns too.
Watch for spreading, because it shows to appear in other places on him.
Wash it well and keep it clean, no hot water, warm, lots of soap.
If it itches, itching drug over the counter anti-usually works.
Wash all clothing, etc. in hot water and detergent.
The doctor will know for sure.

I recently got a pretty good size place on my leg poison ivy .... and as an adult I itching, pain, and very tired, it hurts soooo bad. I think that if your toddler is crying and she isn't seizing then it may be something else. Im not sure what .... but I think it would be to express the pain or if it was poison ivy itchyness ...
