Pediatric Liver Transplant Where can a baby under a year get a liver transplant operation for free or find sponsors for her? My friend has a baby of seven months, a diagnosis of biliary atresia. She had a Kasai (bypassing the liver) is on it, but it failed. pediatric liver transplants are not available here in the Philippines. The nearest hospitals where the procedure could be done are in Hong Kong and Taiwan. It will cost her parents $ 120,000. They can not afford it. She needs a transplant in June 2006. Are there charitable hospitals like Mayo Clinic, who would be willing to take in a case? Or are there any charities that would be willing to sponsor his surgery in Hong Kong or Taiwan? Children's Liver Association for Support Services Hey! Everything stopped when I had a moment and just discovered that we may respond to another through questions.
