Too many of our young people are considerably more weight. The shocking fact was that 14% of our teenagers are obese. This number has doubled since the 1970s. The diseases that may affect adolescent obesity are extensive and include hypertension, diabetes and heart disease. Why has the rate of obesity has doubled teenager?

Many experts responsible for the effect of obesity on the technology of video games, video arcades and television too many to choose from. Unfortunately, this is not so often that we see a group of kids playing kick ball in school or a park. We do not see stickball pick-up games or softball. Can we blame this on technology? Some, but perhaps not.

Society itself has been the most intimate family unit today and instead of neighborhoods full of close, children and parents who know each other, we developed a company to stay and play in. After all, parents are so busy themselves and at the end of the day, their energy level is not helping the problem of obesity among adolescents or their own weight problems.

Hollywood continues to promote these frail men and women and thin that our children are supposed to imitate. In addition, we can not expect the youth daily look at the photos and movies, then the mirror and set a goal to be like that - it's simply absurd! So how can we get our teenagers who are obese to change their lifestyle, eating healthily and exercising more?

First, we must begin at home and limit TV, computer and video time. As a parent, it is only to encourage your teen to push on obesity. Many parents are also guilty of more to provide snacks that are healthy and contain too many calories for a young sedentary. A good starting point for your home to treat obesity in adolescent girls is to have a family reunion honest and open.

At this meeting, discuss what things your teenagers love to do and I do not do. Be honest and tell them that their lifestyle is dangerous and unhealthy. The problem of obesity among adolescents continue to exist in today's society if we do not join together as a family and give examples of other families with problems of obesity adolescents. We risk losing our children well before their time, that's what's important and that's why you need to set goals and make sure your child is living a happy and healthy life that is full of good food and exercise and fun.
