Motor Symptoms

Motor SymptomsCadillac, the motor can mount problem, symptoms and costs?

Last year, my '94 Cadi Contest / Deville was hit in the back. There was external damage, it has been assumed. There was a slight vibration, but the place has said anything Cadi was clearly behind.

The car was only driven a short distance later. I would sometimes take to work or the grocery store. A few months ago I left a car, cranked up, went into a mild slope of the lot and the car jumped quite sharply, the air conditioner fan turned on the radio and faded in and out. Then he died. I re-crank, and went straight home.

same thing happened when I had someone test drive in the street.

I have no money for major repairs at the moment, if the car sits. Someone mentioned it could be an engine mount or transmission mount. What are the symptoms of this? What is the cost of repair on a '94 Cadi (Concours / Deville)? Could it be something else instead? I get so tired of paying for problems on this car.

honestly?? get a nice little car that you had a reliability check - that Caddy will nickel and penny in to the poor house - he had. Do it soon - there are major problems with your car - too much for me to type. Hey - it happens --- that's life.

This basket is a great car when everything tuned and working properly. many little things start to go wrong with it tho.

Usually when a car is struck throughout the car absorbs the impact, so some parts of the body / image / frame can be distorted fractions of an inch over several feet, leaving the internal stresses and misalignments that change almost every aspect of Performance cars somehow.

Now the exchange or trade Lator. It will drive tens of thousands of miles, if you do not mind a few things wrong here and there and not be fixed.

I do not know what the problem is without looking. To test the engine installation, you can take a long lever and see if you can lift the engine on each side. Sometimes when the engine mount failed the driver's side when you gas the car a little hard it will raise the engine, thus pulling the throttle cable causing the car for the race ahead. The transmission mount on most models are attached to a member of the Red Cross run from each side of your frame and you should be able to tell if it is broken just by looking.
