MarketplaceMorbid Obesity Bmi Morbid obesity at a very young age.? Hello, my name is Jessica. Currently, I'm 5'4 "and weighs 264 pounds. My BMI is up an impressive 45.3%, only 16. I am looking for any type of information I can get my hands on. Most of my weight problems could probably be attributed to laziness and lack of motivation caused by several problems that I suffer, so suffer from. Three years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD Combined Type, depression Oppositional Defiance Disorder major disorder, social anxiety and mild. There were many times I tried to put my weight issues to the attention of my parents - and even doctors - that obesity is in my family, but in vain. While my aunt was treated for hypothyroidism, I was tested with specific results. I've also been on numerous medications for sleep problems, depression and ADHD. Strattera, Welbutrin , Adderall XR, zopiclone, nortriptyline, trazodone, etc. At the age I am - I do not have free access to a gym or gym equipment. Around this time, walking is something that I struggle with. because of my size and inactivity, my hip, knee and ankle are very intolerant. Sometimes my feet, and even from the knee, will become blue-gray, or pink, and very cold to the touch. My doctor dismissed that "fairly common and nothing to fear." For personal reasons, I no longer attend public school. At this point, I'm terrified of becoming - very large adults, and really unable to do much. I want to know what my options are to lose weight / become healthier. I have to start slowly. Things like Power90 Shred and 30 days is not the place for me to start . Oh how I sympathize with you. When I was your age I was 5'8 "and around 290 pounds. I went through some of the same things you are going through right now. The best advice I can give you is to eat less move more. C 'is what it boils down to. No matter what you go on the diet you'll gain the weight back once you stop dieting. The key is not to diet. Begin slowly, as this week to make your goal be to drink 64 ounces of water a day. Next week, keep the water, but walk around the block. If you're too embarrassed to walk on the street (j 'I used to be) then walk up in front of your TV or for 10 minutes per day. The week after that go up to 15 minutes at a time. If it gets to be too stop and catch your breath and reboot. Try to cut out fatty foods, fried food and especially soda. Eat more vegetables and fruits. easier said than done I know, but believe me it works. I lost 120 pounds in a year and a half is exactly what I told you. Once you start to see the books stands you get more excited and want to push you even more. Try an exercise DVD too. You can rent from Netflix or Blockbuster .. almost anywhere. So you never get bored and you go to try tons of different exercises. Whatever you do, do not despair. Even if you eat pizza today, start tomorrow fresh. It is never too late to get healthy! uh, first of all how many processed foods you eat? Try walking, even just around the house. Gradually increase your pace and time to do so until you get used to. It's not much but I bet it's a good place to start. And watch your food intake, I do not mean to miss the anorexia of course, but not over. Posted on March 17, 2010.
