MarketplaceMeniscus Rehab Is it ever too late for a meniscus surgery successful rehabilitation? I never rehabbed and now I can not bend all the way (perhaps about 3/4s of the way my ass). Is it too late to gain full mobility back? Its been about 6-7 months now .... it is more difficult as time passes, so you have rehabilitation immediately and do not put it off, when you go through "injury", your body has a process it goes through cure you, as forming a scab from a scratch, the interior of your knee (and vicinity) develop adhesions (scar tissue) to help "heal" you,, problem is he does not know when or where to stop, and your movement of this joint causes surrounding tissues to contract or expand, pull, drag (you know, all that stuff your body) and helps pay for the excess scar tissue surrounding the zone, that is why it is so important to rehabilitation; and now scar tissue is "flexible" until about 1 & 1 / 2> 2 years, so @ that time, membership (or scar tissue) is fixed;; this means that you can not stretch it, it can not build,, if ya have up around that time, but again, most take you there, the harder it becomes little cuz time each day, these adhesions harder and more difficult, remember what they say about a broken bone?? until complete recovery is the last part of "break" ... Well, that's why ... So to answer your question ... Yes, but keep getting tougher as and when .... almost a year, but honestly, beginning bending! Dressage &! TODAY! Will not say it's impossible, but it will be painful Posted on March 1, 2010.
