Lysine Herpes

Why is it that no one promotes safer treatment of L-lysine for herpes instead of dangerous pharmaceuticals?
Is it about money or is it because people do not know, like doctors?
The lysine is safer and more efficient while promoting a good healthy diet rich in antioxidants.

I do not think that L-Lysine has been proven to work. From my experience, acyclovir is far superior to lysine.

This is probably because the L-lysine has not been proven to help herpes. Anecdotally, there may be reports of help, but I've never heard of any research comparing it with placebo or standard therapy.

As with all the vitamins and herbs, it is not regulated by the FDA. And your right L Lysine is effective and I take every day as I am prone to cold sores, but nothing as antiviral drugs to get rid of him. Since taking my L Lysine cold sore outbreaks have decreased, but when I have them and I'm taking extra L Lysine, but if I skip a Valtrex he said quickly! So, I stand with L Lysine and keep a script of Valtrex, just in case!

Add corn for food on a daily basis, stopped cold sores for me and one of my daughters. Lysine is derived from corn. used and if a cold sore already, and then continue to have the corn, like corn, cream corn on the cob, popcorn or corn bread or muffins in your diet. I highly recommend it. It is inexpensive and worth trying. We have not had cold sores for many years at least 15 years or more. By all means if it does not work for you use the medicne RX and still add corn to your diet.
