IVF process? can someone please tell me the steps of the IVF process?
It varies - there are various medications, protocols and schedules via IVF. It takes over your life - you can not plan anything as there is constant injections, go for regular blood tests and ultrasounds. . . and then when it is time for egg retrieval. . . It is time for egg retrieval! We had ours on Christmas Day!
Here is my experience:
A) 16 days ish to remove the pill my cycle
2) Date of Lupron injections while on the pill
3) started my period and continued injections of Lupron
4) Following the Lupron and Gonal F added (FSH) injections
5) Many blood tests and ultrasound-cycle
6) Order Lupron and Gonal F - do Ovidrel (HCG) trigger shot
7) entered the office for the recovery of eggs - was put under anesthesia for this part
8) Went home, relaxed, waiting for the results on the number of fertilized eggs and quality. . . started to use progesterone suppositories three times per day to maintain the uterine lining.
9) I'm back in the office of egg transfer
10) whereas the time to go to the lab for blood test for pregnancy.
In total, it took about 6-7 weeks.
Whether or not this is the same thing. . . depends too much on the protocol. A new cycle is different from transfer of frozen embryos from a previous cycle. If you do not succeed, as doctors to make adjustments in the hope that your second attempt will be successful.
