Gastric Bypass Weight Loss

Gastric Bypass Weight LossWill Texas Medicaid pay for gastric bypass / bariatric surgery?

I'm on SSI and receive Medicaid. I need surgery for weight loss and the assurance that I have is Medicaid. Does anyone know if there are doctors of the value of Dallas / Fort same area or east of Texas that will accept Medicaid for gastric bypass surgery? Or are there physicians who provide free services to the occasion?

Try Parkland Hospital weight loss program. Parkland takes Medicaid. You must meet certain criteria. It may take some time to come and I think that JPS has a program too. Methodist Medical Center has a program of weight loss (I do not know what it takes, but the hospital itself takes Medicaid) Also, try your PCP would be a good place to start. I had health insurance and I had surgery 4-16-08. So good luck in your journey ...
