Fungus Rash

That's what the nurse at the health department said it was, but I've never heard of a baby with a rash fungus. Desitin and Balmex does not like mushrooms and I can not find a product that does. How can you get rid of it?

My son had a fungal rash on the chest and arms ... I have no idea where he got it. To treat the doctor gave me a prescription ointment. I do not remember the name of it though. Take him to the doctors and they should be able to give you something if it really is fungal.

The only way the doctor was able to say with certainty that my son's rash was fungus was scraping some skin rashes and look under a microscope I'm not sure you can just watch and say it is 100% fungal. I would ask the doctor since you've seen the woman in the Department of Health.

Yeast (fungus) diaper rash is quite common. My daughter competed for their first year of his life. The advice we received from the Dominican Republic (which has always worked):
Keep the baby-diaper-free whenever possible. Avoid baby wipes after using wet diapers because they can cause further irritation.
-Add baking soda to bath baby-2 c. soup. for a baby bath and 4 c. soup. for an ordinary bathtub.
-Apply an antifungal cream (Lotrimin, Clotrimazole) before putting diaper
-Once the initial eruption allows, use a regular layers rash cream (Desitin, etc.) after each change.

Do you mean like a yeast infection?

I had problems with my children to have what appeared to be nasty red diaper rash when they were babies, but no diaper rash cream is it all clear. I decided to try some Monistat and sprinkled baby powder over it and that would help. It was in fact the only thing the weather cleared.

Lotrimin work. Try to give the baby some time in the air diaperless its merits. If you are a nurse? Does baby have thrush? Yeast (fungus) rashes are often associated with thrush. I also used wet wipes house with a water grapefruit seed / extract mix. Cleared it there.
