Full Knee Replacement Surgery

Full Knee Replacement SurgeryHow old is the oldest recipient of a full knee replacement?

I have a friend who is 95 years young and has just been OK'd for full knee surgery. Will he be the oldest person to have this done at least in the U.S.?

Probably not. I work in a health care facility and the age of my patients is 85-107. I saw a lot of surgeries occur for this age group. A 97 year old just had surgery. I can not go into details because of HIPPA laws.
If the individual received the ok for surgery, is it something they want to do? Or is this what the doctor wants. ATG is a costly and rehabilitation is more difficult than a total hip. This person has chosen therapist for rehabilitation? And generally, Drs. do both knees. What about the other knee?
