If you \ 's like me, you don \' probably confused about all the different terms used to describe feline urinary tract infection. FLUTD, UTI, FUS, what does that mean? In this paper, we \ 's going to sort the terms used to describe cat urinary problems, and put the confusion to rest.

FLUTD or feline Lower Urinary tract disease

FLUTD is basically a catch-all phrase that refers to any kind of problem your cat may have in his lower urinary tract, which includes the bladder and urethra. inappropriate urination, which means urinating somewhere other than the litter is the most common symptom of FLUTD. Unfortunately, many cat owners simply assume inappropriate urination is a behavioral problem instead of having their cats tested for feline urinary disease.

Feline Cystitis

The word \ "cystitis \" means an inflammation of the bladder. Sometimes the term is used interchangeably with FLUTD, but to be precise, \ "feline cystitis \" only refers to an inflammation of the bladder cat.

Feline idiopathic cystitis

\ "Idiopathic \" means that there doesn \ 't seem to be a reason for that. Feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC or) was linked to cat stress because it seems to appear after a stressful event that happens to your cat.
