Edwards Disease

It is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of three chromosome 18 instead of 2 #. This is called trisomy 18. (In lower sydrome is caused by trisomy 21).

over 90% of these children have major cardiac malformations. more than half are deaf. they need very intensive care at birth, have a high risk of dying, or have serious medical problems and development if they survive.
