Eczema And Asthma Dehumidifiers are effective in helping people suffering from eczema and asthma? I read it is good to have a dehumidifier in your room if you have eczema / asthma.My son was once so I looked at this issue and they seem expensive.Would you need in each room? Are they effective? Is also their thanks to dehumidify any other way is not so expensive?. The reverse is true, actually! Asthma worsens in dry air and it is preferable to increase the humidity of the room. I have asthma, and yes the humidity certainly makes things worse! Fortunately, I lived in NM and CA most of my life, so that moisture is a concern in the monsoon season. Where do you live? If it is a wetland, and you're really worried about the continued health of your son, I would just like to consider moving on. I know that seems drastic, but if their asthma is that bad, it would be easier for you all in the long term. My grandmother and great-grandmother, both of whom have also suffered from asthma, moved from Beaumont, TX to NM, and their lives have never been better. Of course, the choice to move is an important decision. Thus, a dehumidifier would take the edge off his asthma attacks. I wish I had one in his room alone at night, because at that time to worry about a child. For the most part, if an attack occurs during the day, you must be there to help.
