Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram My father died a few years ago during a stress echocardiography. Does anyone know anyone who has too? My father died a few years ago - unexpectedly - a heart attack during a dobutamine stress echocardiography. My doctor told the family there is only one chance someone could die of 1% during one of these. I work in a hospital where the test was done and my father was the only one so far who died. Sometimes when I tell people how he died at work, they almost do not believe me. Very disappointed to learn that ... I died in a pedal bicycle stress test, a full cardiac arrest due to coronary spasm. They shocked me to life after a few minutes though. Since then, a test of stress induced by the drug was once offered to me, but I resisted because I felt uncomfortable with the idea of having a drug in my system that could not be easy-cons done if something went wrong. That said, I think it is good that you are looking for answers and experiences of others so that you can understand the unusual circumstances of the death of your father. It is also helpful for all of its offspring resulting health problems as they ponder their own future. Good luck:) Wow, I'm sorry to hear that.My mother died in his bathroom hospital room and what was worse was my sister went to see her and she thought she had tests so she asked the station nurses ... and they all went scrambling to his room.They had morphine ... May God bless you Of course, if I was the head of a test in which the death occurred, I think I would say that this never happens too! It happens more often than you know. After reading all the websites for stress testing is that I refuse to have. Some people are inexplicably allergic to the drug they use. This is indicated on the forms out before the test.
