Contraceptive Patch

Contraceptive PatchContraceptive Patch?

I just bought Evra contraceptive patches. Do any of you knows how to use it? I can not understand how to use it properly, after I used my three sets of stamps in three weeks, I'll have a patch free week after, when do I start using a new patch again?

Put a patch on the areas that you say the instructions. Leave on for one week, then replace it with another patch, that for three weeks, then the fourth week you do not wear the patch and you should get your period.

Put the patch on your right open and leave it there. Otherwise, I would not trust him.

Once you go one week without the patch, which is when you get your period, you start the cycle again with a new box of patches.

you start again after your period ... I hated those things ... they burned my skin in places

ummm after your "girly week off" is done .. thing is the patch moves around and stuff and can cause skin irritation, so perhaps the move an arm around one week, one week the other arm, etc.
but in all honesty, it is a question of your OBGYN should have explained to you before prescribing. they should have explained how it works, when the door step, when to wear, and side effects. the fact that they didn't really explain it and I am concerned.

Yes, so the patch is used. I do not recommend this product, however. The side effects are terrible. You gain weight and may suffer from depression and loss of libido. All these things happened to me. A man who loves, you're ready to use barrier methods, instead, at the very least, avoid the patch. If you need to use hormones, use of a low dose pill.

Sorry, I'm not really sure how to use the patch, but we hope you find this information useful.

FDA investigates Ortho Evra Patch

March 2, 2006-The FDA announced the launch of a study on security patch Ortho Evra birth control, following evidence that the patch is associated with increased side effects. The agency previously warned women in November 2005, Ortho Evra is linked to a higher rate of blood clots.

The review is part of a larger probe to assess the safety of various patches. The agency is concerned that the defects in the plates can lead to increased absorption rate, causing too much medication to be administered to the patient. The data show women using the patch are exposed to about 60 percent more estrogen than women using traditional contraceptive pill.
